This is one of my latest fused glass panels. It has been designed as a panel to hang, and is reminiscent of tulips, or perhaps even poppies in bud – it is a fantasy flower, with hand painted enamel details.
The pair of red flowers have been fused onto a translucent white glass background so as to give them a three dimensional, raised shape. The base of the panel has had fine glass frit in several different colours of green, including a sparkly aventurine. It has had several trips to the kiln to provide depth and additional details.
The arch topped panel has been framed with lead came and cemented to provide a firm means of hanging indoors or out. It is securely hung by a length of 3mm chrome plated ball chain.
The panel is approx. 12 inches high, and 4 inches wide
