This unique freestanding piece is a collaboration between myself, and Imants of Immy’s Woodcraft.
The round frame has been hand turned by Immy from a beautiful piece of spalted ash. He tries his best to use the wood he takes from the center of every piece as a base. He also took the gorgeous photograph of St David’s Cathedral in Pembrokeshire, which I have been able to permanently encapsulate in the glass as a sepia toned print.
Once the picture has been fused to the glass, the piece has been sandblasted to help highlight the picture.
We are able to reproduce this kind of piece with your own special picture added (though as wood is a natural product, each piece will naturally be unique) – so if you have a special piece you would like then feel free to get in touch with either of us to discuss it.
