Fused glass Welsh style dragon on ash wood stand.
These versions of my fused glass dragons are mounted with chrome brackets onto a wooden base. Currently I am using a gorgeous piece of Ash, which was sourced locally, and sustainably from a responsibly managed Welsh forest. The ash has been sanded to a lovely smooth finish, and then coated with shellac.
I have also decided to offer a colour alternative – so as well as the traditional Red dragon, I am please to be able to offer a gorgeous Green.
The red is made from a transparent glass, the green from a translucent glass which contains aventurine to give it a gorgeous sparkle.
I hope you’ll agree they are both fabulous.
